Caledon Build It – Returns and Credit Policy

At Caledon Build It, customer satisfaction is important to us. To ensure a fair and consistent process, the following conditions apply to all returns, refunds, and credit requests:

1. Proof of Purchase

• A valid original invoice must be presented at the till point for any return, refund, or credit request.
• Without an invoice, no return or credit will be processed.

2. Condition of Goods

• Products must be sealed in their original packaging and in a resellable condition.
• Faulty products must be returned with the original invoice.

3. Special Product Categories

• Wet trade and yard goods: These items must first be inspected by the Yard Supervisor. Goods will only be credited if they are deemed to be in resellable condition.
• Electrical and plumbing goods: These must be installed by a certified electrician or plumber.
  • If found faulty, we will require proof of certified installation (e.g., installation certificate or installer details).

4. Deliveries and Collections

• Goods delivered and later requiring credit that must be collected by Caledon Build It will incur a collection fee and a handling fee.

5. Refund Method

• Small amounts may be refunded in-store.
• Large amounts will be refunded via EFT only.
  • A bank confirmation letter is required to process the refund to the correct account.
  • EFT refunds are usually processed on Friday mornings before 10:00.

6. Exclusions

• No refunds or credits will be processed for goods that:
  • Do not have an original invoice.
  • Are not in a resellable condition.
  • Have been incorrectly installed or damaged due to negligence.
