Build It Caledon Hardware – Terms & Conditions

By accessing and using the Build It Caledon website (“we”, “our”, “us”), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making any purchases.

1. General Information

1.1 All prices listed on this website are in South African Rand (ZAR) and are valid while stocks last.
1.2 Prices may change without prior notice due to supplier price changes, exchange rates, or other factors beyond our control.
1.3 All prices shown exclude delivery fees unless otherwise stated.
1.4 Delivery fees are calculated based on the area and distance from our store.
1.5 Stock availability is not guaranteed and will be confirmed after order placement.

2. Returns & Refunds Policy

2.1 Returns are accepted only if:

  • A valid invoice for the specific item is produced,
  • The product is returned in its original sealed packaging,
  • The item is in resellable condition.

2.2 A handling fee of 10% will apply to all returns (unless due to defective goods as per the Consumer Protection Act).
2.3 Refunds for large amounts will be processed via EFT within 7–10 working days.
2.4 Electrical and plumbing products must only be installed by registered tradesmen. Refunds will not be given for damage or faults resulting from incorrect installation.
2.5 Custom orders, cut-to-size materials, mixed paints, or specially ordered items are non-returnable.

3. Warranties

3.1 All products are covered by the manufacturer’s standard warranty (where applicable).
3.2 Warranty claims are subject to assessment and approval by the supplier or manufacturer.
3.3 Warranties do not cover damage due to misuse, improper installation, or negligence.

4. Delivery

4.1 Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed unless specifically confirmed in writing.
4.2 Risk passes to the customer upon delivery to the specified address.
4.3 Additional charges may apply for deliveries outside standard service areas or for special handling.

5. Website & Content

5.1 We strive to keep product descriptions and prices accurate, but errors may occur. In such cases, we reserve the right to correct errors and cancel affected orders.
5.2 Images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ from the actual product.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 Build It Caledon Hardware will not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from the use of products purchased, except where required by law.
6.2 Customers are responsible for ensuring products are suitable for their intended purpose.

7. Standard Industry Terms (Hardware & Construction Trade)

  • Goods are sold ex-warehouse/store.
  • Title to goods remains with Build It Caledon Hardware until full payment is received.
  • All quotations are valid for the period stated; if no period is stated, quotes are valid for 7 days.
  • Any labour, installation, or application of products is at the customer’s own risk unless a separate service agreement is in place.

8. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
